Beech Bowl - Spalted - 16cm - #33

£48.00

This bowl was hand-turned from a great beech tree that once stood beside my workshop on Exmoor. When Storm Darragh brought it down, I chose to honour its life through craft — shaping its timber into useful, lasting forms.

Each bowl is shaped slowly on a traditional pole lathe, guided by hand and human rhythm. The making process is quiet and intentional, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to come alive.

When you use it, you feel a deep sense of calm — the grounding weight of real material, the warmth of touch, the simple pleasure of living with something made to last. It brings the stillness of the workshop and the peace of the woodland into your daily life.
