Mulberry Bowl - 14cm - #40

This bowl was hand-turned from a lovely Mulberry tree that once stood on the estate I live on. Every August, I would delight in eating the fruits, and so was devastated when the tree became diseased and fell. I chose to honour its life through craft — shaping its timber into useful, lasting forms.

Made on a traditional foot-powered lathe, each bowl carries the calm pace of handcraft. Every curve and line is shaped by feel — no noise, no rush, just the steady rhythm of making.

Owning and using it offers a quiet joy — the sense of being closer to nature, of finding stillness in daily rituals. Over time, the bowl becomes part of your story, deepening in character as it shares in the small moments that make a life.
